Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 9, 2026
1. Who we are
Countyguard is a brand of Eldhurst LLC ("Countyguard," "we," "us," or "our"). We publish water-emergency information compiled from public government sources.
2. Scope
This Privacy Policy describes information processed when you visit countyguard.com or contact us by email. It does not govern third-party websites linked from the site.
3. Information processed through the website
Countyguard does not provide account registration, contact forms, comments, online purchases, telephone links, or a paid connection service in the current version of the site. The site runs no visitor analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking scripts.
Cloudflare Pages hosts and protects the site. Cloudflare may automatically process technical request information needed to deliver and secure it, including your IP address, request date and time, requested page, referring page, browser or device information, and security or error data. Countyguard may receive or access request or summary records when needed for security, availability, debugging, abuse prevention, or legal compliance.
4. Information you send by email
If you email us, we receive your email address and the name, message, attachments, and other information you choose to send. We use it to answer you, investigate corrections or complaints, protect the service, and meet legal obligations. Do not email sensitive personal information.
5. How information is used
We and service providers acting for us may process information to:
- deliver, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot the website;
- respond to questions, correction requests, or complaints;
- detect fraud, abuse, or security incidents;
- audit contractual and legal compliance; and
- comply with law and establish or defend legal claims.
6. Disclosures
Information may be disclosed to Cloudflare, professional advisers who owe confidentiality duties, insurers, regulators, law enforcement, or a successor in a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale. We may also disclose information when requested by you or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the service.
Countyguard does not sell visitor personal information or use or share it for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising.
7. Cookies and analytics
Countyguard does not intentionally set analytics, advertising, or preference cookies and includes no analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking scripts. Cloudflare may use strictly necessary security cookies depending on its configuration.
Cloudflare may produce aggregate, server-side traffic statistics — such as counts of page requests — from the standard request information described in Section 3. Countyguard has no sale, targeted-advertising, or cookie-based processing for browser Do Not Track and opt-out preference signals to act on.
8. Retention
Countyguard retains information it controls only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including security, correction history, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. Cloudflare controls retention of information in its systems under its own policies and service settings.
9. Your choices and rights
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information that Countyguard controls, use an authorized agent, or appeal our response. We will honor rights required by applicable law and may need to verify your request. Countyguard cannot delete information controlled independently by Cloudflare or another third party; you must contact that organization directly.
Countyguard does not discriminate against a person for exercising an applicable privacy right.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information processed. No Internet transmission, provider, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
11. Children
The site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review and address it.
12. United States processing
Countyguard and its providers process information in the United States. Different states may provide different privacy rights.
13. Changes
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the site, vendors, law, or business practices. The updated version will be posted here with a revised effective date. We will provide additional notice when required by law.
